Alyssa Marriner is an experienced visual storyteller inspired by the human condition. Expertise in documentary storytelling, strategic communications and content development. Passions include advocating for human rights, ethical storytelling and authentic travel. Alyssa possesses an M.A., with Distinction, in Media, Campaigning and Social Change in addition to a BSci. in Visual Communications - Photojournalism with a History Minor.
Capable of balancing multiple projects with a high attention to detail, Alyssa puts great emphasis on working empathetically and asking the hard questions, building strong relationships, and working well under pressure to produce ethical, high-quality work within strict deadlines.
Alyssa currently resides in Birmingham, United Kingdom and works as a content producer for the international charity, Sightsavers, developing creative content and engaging communications that raise the profile and build the reputation of the organisation. In the role, she’s responsible for leading on creative briefs from the campaigns and communications team, producing and editing videos for small and medium-sized projects and, occasionally, she gets to collect content from Sightsavers’ programmes under the capacity of the photographer.
